The SBF is by law a legal entity established by the Act of October 18, 2006, and continues to operate with a mandate to promote the sustainable and innovative development of the local private sector (LPS). The SBF is a national stakeholder platform aimed at stimulating the development of the Local Private Sector (LPS) through dialogue between the public and private sectors within a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). This is achieved through the joint formulation, implementation and monitoring of a national strategy for private sector development in Suriname. Its primary objective is to facilitate doing business and promote entrepreneurship.
