Preparations for SEOGS 2025 in Full Swing

PARAMARIBO, 20 May 2025 – The fifth edition of SEOGS – the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit & Exhibition – will take place from 17 to 20 June 2025. Preparations for this landmark event are in full swing. Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. will once again serve as host.

The theme of SEOGS 2025 is "A New Dawn", reflecting the Final Investment Decision (FID) announced on   1 October 2024 by TotalEnergies and APA Corporation for the GranMorgu project in Block 58. SEOGS aims to attract international attention to Suriname’s investment opportunities and contribute to the continued development of its national energy sector.

SEOGS 2025 will be larger than previous editions. A record number of participants is expected, with attendees from over 40 countries. The event will feature more than 1,000 delegates, 250 exhibitors, and 200 speakers. The conference serves as a key platform for businesses, policymakers, and industry experts to exchange insights, foster partnerships, and shape the future of the energy sector.

The SEOGS 2025 agenda offers a broader range of topics than ever before. The final day will focus specifically on local content. The exhibition, a core element of SEOGS, will provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the energy sector. Surinamese and international companies will take part in the exhibition from Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 June. Access to the exhibition is limited to industry professionals on 18 and 19 June, while it will open to the general public on Friday 20 June. Online registration for business visitors and the public will be announced soon.

SEOGS 2025 will take place at Roeli’s Event Venue, which has been upgraded to accommodate the event’s growth. The venue now includes networking areas, conference halls, and exhibition spaces, along with parking facilities for sponsors, exhibitors, conference attendees, and visitors.

Registration for participants is already open. To encourage local participation, companies headquartered in Suriname receive a 50% discount on the standard rate. This initiative offers local businesses the opportunity to showcase themselves to the world and connect with investors, policymakers, and other players in the energy industry.
