Andrew Hepburn
Currently based in The Hague, Netherlands, Andrew was resident in Paramaribo, Suriname from 2022 to 2024. He led stakeholder and institutional relations for two emerging frontier ventures during the 2025/6 drilling campaign as well a social investment programme in São Tomé & Príncipe which includes construction of a school, water projects and an extension of the national grid. He joined Shell in 2017 as manager for gas policy and regulatory affairs in the Americas, responsible for fostering gas market development through policy and advocacy. Prior to joining Shell, he worked in BG Group in various commercial and government affairs roles from 1998 to 2017. This included 11 years in Brazil where he led engagements with state and federal government to develop technology and sustainability projects. From 2014 to 2017, Andrew led BG Group's operations in Honduras, responsible for government relations, communications and social performance for the company's exploration venture.
