Arick Wierson is a media personality, investor, and advisor specializing in Latin America, particularly the economic transformation underway in northern Brazil, Guyana, and Suriname. He is a columnist for Newsweek, a former journalist with CNN, and a frequent political commentator on Brazilian television. A graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and Universidade de Campinas (UNICAMP), where he earned a master’s degree in economics, he previously served as a senior communications and political advisor to former New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg.
