Author, A Different Energy: Women in Caribbean Oil & Gas
Celeste Mohammed is a multiple award-winning Trinidadian lawyer-turned-writer. Most notably, she was the winner of a 2018 PEN/Dau Prize, the 2022 OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature and the 2022 CLMP Firecracker Award for Fiction.
Celeste holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her writing has been published in the US, UK and West Africa. In 2024, she made her non-fiction debut with "A Different Energy: Women in Caribbean Oil and Gas", and was also shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize.
