Clyde Griffith, is a highly experienced senior leader with over 35 years in oil, gas, mining, and logistics across Suriname and the Caribbean. At Staatsolie, he modernized exploration workflows and managed successful onshore drilling operations. He plays a pivotal role in establishing Suriname’s Minerals Authority and drafting new mining legislation. As Director of Operations at GS Trader N.V., Clyde oversaw Suriname’s largest construction materials export and drove digital transformation. He led EITI Suriname’s national transparency reporting, advises national commissions, organizes technical conferences, and lectures at top universities. He holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology and an MBA in Leadership & Management, earning recognition for his strategic leadership and commitment to transparency in extractive industries.
