Clyde has more than 16 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry and more than 11 years of experience in the Mining industry in Suriname. He is currently an independent consultant focused on Upstream Oil/ Gas, Mining and Logistics.

He has a master’s degree in Petroleum Geology and an MBA in Leadership and Management.

During his career, he has been and still involved in several projects, such as:

• Several Petroleum onshore and offshore exploration projects in Suriname, Guyana and Trinidad.,
• Setting up the Minerals Authority of Suriname.
• National Coordinator of EITI Suriname.
• Member of several commissions, such as Presidential commission for Development Bauxite West Suriname, Commission Rehabilitation of Suralco Mines, Presidential Steering comission Alcoa/ Suralco Agreement, member of the supervisory board of the Coast Guard Suriname and chair of the commission monitoring Rosebel Gold and Newmont mines.
• Lecturer at the Anton de Kom University for Bachelor and Masters course on earth sciences.
