Dirk has a master’s in business economics. Has a long career in government and held various executive positions, for over 28 years, in large businesses, including the roles of CFO, CEO and COO and started Your Leadership Toolbox Consultancy (YLT-Consultancy) in 2020. Dirk served as a member of the supervisory board in many companies in various sectors. Dirk also led CANTO (Regional Organization of Telecom Companies) as chairman for 5 years. Presently dirk serves as chairman of the foundations Lotjeshuis, Wi Tru Sranan and the Center for Democracy and the Administration of Justice. Dirk is a member of the rotary and of the association of economists in Suriname (VES). Dirk was very active in sports and, as a player of the national volleyball selection represented Suriname. Dirk enjoys reading, being in nature and trying out challenging sports activities. Dirk is very spiritual and his core values are freedom, respect and justice and he is the proud father of Giano and Tirzah.
