Dirk was appointed Managing Director Turnkey in April 2024 and is responsible for project execution for FPSO, MPF, and Turret products as well as Installation services. Dirk joined SBM Offshore in 2006 as an FPSO Engineer in Monaco before moving to Brazil as Operations Manager.

Since 2012 he has been based in Europe and held various positions from Fleet Operation Readiness General Manager, O&M Business Acquisition Director, FPSO Business Acquisition Director, MPF program director and most recently, Project Director for a large FPSO project.

Dirk began his career in the shipbuilding industry at Royal IHC in the Netherlands and holds a Master of Science in Marine Technology from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
