Dr. Eric Rolf Hansen is President of the Economic Transformations Group (ETG) and Project Director of Suriname’s US$8.2 million SURGE SME Matching Grant Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Regional Economics & Planning from MIT, worked at the World Bank and Stanford Research Institute (SRI International) and has over 35 years of global experience designing and implementing SME competitiveness, innovation ecosystem, and supplier development programs across more than 200 value chains worldwide. Dr. Hansen led matching grant and buyer-led supplier linkage initiatives in Suriname, Guyana, Ethiopia, and beyond, with a focus on measurable sales growth, standards compliance, and supply chain integration.
