Prof. dr. ir. Nawin Ryan Nannan (Ryan/42 years) is full professor in sustainable energy technology since August 2022. Prof. Nannan obtained his master’s and doctorate’s degree, both cum laude, from Delft University of Technology and he is a process and energy technology expert with various academic, peer-reviewed publications on gas dynamics, fluid property modeling and small, decentralized power generation systems. He has additionally worked as assistant researcher and postdoc researcher at NIST, Politecnico di Milano and Delft University of Technology on topics related to fluids metrology, CO2 capture using physical solvents, and gas dynamics. Apart from his academic track record he has credentials in leadership, management and oversight, serving in the past as academic dean, member of the supervisory board of Staatsolie, chairman of the risk and compliance committee of the same company, etc. He is currently also part-time consultant for WWF and Econoler.
