Chevron
Dr. Maria Hartley is the global technical lead for Chevron’s Emergency Management organization and has been with the company for 17 years. Dr. Hartley also manages the Chevron’s Emergency Response Teams (12 teams, 400+ responders), leads the Chevron’s Environmental Response Team, and is the chair of the IPIECA Marine Spill Group, advancing the energy industry in emergency preparedness and response, in partnership with the UN (IMO). After receiving her doctorate degree in ecology from Rice University, she has been teaching Environmental Management as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the last 15 years, and serves on the Rice Advisory Board of the School of Natural Sciences. She is also a board member for International Bird Rescue.
