Dr. Salmaan Inayat-Hussain joined Ipieca in May 2025 as Chief of Staff, seconded from PETRONAS Corporate Sustainability Division. He previously served as Senior General Manager for Environment, Social Performance & Product Stewardship within PETRONAS Group HSE Division. With 33 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, academia, government, and the oil and gas sector—including 13 years at PETRONAS—he has led major environmental, social, and product stewardship initiatives. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the National University of Malaysia and a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Leicester. He is a Board-Certified Toxicologist and Adjunct Professor at Yale University.
