Gerard den Dekker serves as Deputy Director Corporate Services and an Executive Board member at Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. He oversees the HRM, ICT, Communications, and HSEQ & Sustainability portfolios.

With nearly 25 years of leadership experience, including roles as Manager and Director at United Caribbean Contractors (UCC), he specializes in strategy, governance, and organizational development. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Environmental Management. A dedicated sustainability advocate, he leads the SDG Private Sector Commission and holds several prestigious positions, including Honorary Consul of Austria in Suriname and former board member of the VSB.
