drs. ing. G.G. (Gerard) den Dekker (50 years)

After various educations (vocational, Bachelor, Master) and several years of work experience in the Netherlands (including independent entrepreneur/ business consultant), Gerard started in Suriname in 2002 as manager at United Caribbean Contractors (UCC), a company active in the Telecommunications, ICT and Energy sector. Since 2022 Gerard is the director of UCC (since 2019 part of Baitali Group of Companies)

In addition to his professional/ business career, he is active as board member of the Surinamese Employers Association (VSB), member of the ICT Association, representing the private sector in the National SDG Platform of Suriname and member of the Rotary Club of Paramaribo.

He is very much interested and committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and especially the intrinsic commitment and contribution of the private sector to achieve those global goals.

His Christian faith (and the norms and values ​​derived from this) and his family are very important to Gerard.
