Born in Italy, Gianluigi has graduated in Economics at Bocconi University in Milan and holds a MS in International Trade Management. After several experiences in various companies in commercial roles, he joined Saipem in 2005 and held various positions in procurement and supply chain for oil & gas offshore projects in the Mediterranean, the North Sea, in Far East Asia and the USA, being located in Croatia, UK, Malaysia and Houston (USA). Gianluigi has been involved in the offshore projects of the Guyana-Suriname Basin from 2018 and - thanks to the wide experience gained -, he has been appointed as Country Manager of Saipem respectively in Guyana in 2022 and in Suriname in early 2025.
