Ir. Guido Koorndijk is a civil-marine engineer, formed at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, with ample experience in delivering complex, major civil-marine works like bridges, dikes, roads, and offshore pipelines.

In 2007, Guido co-founded FIRM Engineering, a multidisciplinary engineering firm that delivers high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, ports, roads, bridges, and offshore pipeline projects throughout the Caribbean region, with a strong focus on oil and gas-related development.

In 2025, Guido co-founded NV DORDT Gateway, the entity that develops a state-of-the-art marine support base in Suriname. DORDT Gateway is positioned to become a key logistics and operational hub serving the emerging offshore energy industry while driving sustainable development in Suriname.
