Director of Deepwater Exploration , APA Corporation

Hamish Macintyre was appointed to the position of Apache Director of Deepwater in May 2025. He joined Apache in 2023 as the Director of Geophysics.

Hamish has worked in research, exploration and development roles in a 27-year oil and gas career. The majority of his career was with BG Group where he held positions of Technical Geophysicist working worldwide projects, JV secondee with PTTEP, Development and Exploration Subsurface Manager, Geophysics Technology Manager and Deputy Chief Geophysicist. He joined Shell in Houston as an Exploration Advisor where he was responsible for assuring Americas projects and was the architect for the development and implementation of next generation complex imaging technologies
