Harry Dorinnie

Director of Monetary Affairs , Centrale Bank van Suriname (CBvS)

Harry Dorinnie is the Deputy Governor and Director of Monetary Affairs at the Central Bank of Suriname, a position he has held since 2022. In this capacity, he is responsible for the formulation and implementation of monetary policy as well as overseeing the Bank’s economic affairs.

He studied Economics at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname and has further strengthened his expertise through various specialized training programs abroad. Over the course of his career, Mr. Dorinnie has built extensive experience in economic research and policy analysis.

Prior to his current role, he served as Head of the Research Department at the Central Bank of Suriname, where he played a key role in advancing monetary policy research and providing analytical support for policy decisions. His international experience includes serving as an advisor in the Office of the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C. from 2012 to 2013.

Mr. Dorinnie brings a strong combination of technical expertise and practical policy experience, contributing to the stability and development of Suriname’s financial and economic landscape.
