Henk Chin A Lien is currently responsible for the production from the onshore Oil Fields of Staatsolie (Staatsolie Upstream). During his 30+ years’ career he was closely involved with the developments and operations of the oil fields and treatment & Pipeline facilities. From 2016-2020, he served as Chair of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Suriname Section, guiding the chapter to multiple international awards and strengthening student and professional engagement. Henk has a MSc in Chemical Engineering of Delft University & Technology and post graduate degrees in Petroleum Technology from Anton de Kom University and The Mechanics of Renewable Energy from Middlesex University.
