Hon. Richard Gyan-Mensah serves as Deputy Minister of Energy and Green Transition for Ghana and as Member of Parliament for Gomoa West Constituency (2021 to present). He is a recognised expert in energy, finance, petroleum, and governance, with over 18 years of experience in the energy sector, financial management, accounting, and public policy.

He holds a Bachelor of Education (Accounting) from the University of Cape Coast, a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance, and a Master of Arts in Energy Law from the University of Ghana. He is also a Part 3 student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).

Hon. Richard Gyan-Mensah is a passionate advocate for nuclear energy, sustainable oil and gas exploration, energy efficiency, energy transition, and climate action.
