Rishma Kuldipsingh is a Surinamese politician. Since 2022, she has been the Minister of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship, and Technological Innovation in the cabinet of Santokhi. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Youth Affairs

Biography

Kuldipsingh pursued her Master of Business Administration from the Netherlands Business Academy between 2013 and 2017. She is the patroness of the Saathi Music School.

Around the same time, she worked for the Bureau of Education Information and Study Facilities (BOS), a part of the Ministry of Education, where she handled procedures for Surinamese individuals interested in studying abroad. Subsequently, from 2016 to 2018, she served as a coordinator for the SME Fund and later as a senior policy officer and management trainer for the Ministry of Labor.

During the 2020 elections, she ran as a candidate for the VHP in an unelectable position, 16th on the list of Paramaribo.[6] Following this, she was appointed to the cabinet of Santokhi as the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Youth Affairs.

In mid-April 2022, she switched to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship, and Technological Innovation. She was succeeded at the Ministry of Labor by Steven Mac Andrew.
