Joe Ponthier received his B.S. in Geology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, M.S. in Geology at Louisiana State University, and MBA at Tulane University. Joe started his career as an earth scientist in New Orleans, LA with Texaco and has worked primarily in exploration in a variety of technical and leadership roles in his 30-year Chevron career in several US and international locations.  Joe has experience in basins across South America, the Middle East, China, Australia, New Zealand, Angola, and the US Gulf.
