Dr. Marciano Dasai is a Member of the National Assembly of Suriname and former Minister of Spatial Planning and Environment (2023–2025). Holding a PhD in Architecture and Planning, he bridges the critical gap between high-level environmental policy and practical, ground-level innovation. As a former lecturer at Anton de Kom University, his work champions sustainable, climate-resilient infrastructure. A prominent voice in international climate dialogues—including the recent EarthX 2026 forum—he is deeply committed to advancing nature-based solutions, green building technologies, and progressive environmental standards to drive sustainable development across the region.
