Martin Cheong is the Country General Manager of SBM Offshore Guyana, marking a historic achievement as the first Guyanese to hold this position since the company established its local operations in 2016.

Armed with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from the University of Guyana and an Executive MBA from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, Cheong brings extensive business acumen to the role. His career includes 10+ years at Scotiabank, where he advanced through key positions in Compliance, Operations, and Business Support. At the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT), he excelled in pivotal roles in Business Support, HR and Finance. His exceptional contributions led to his appointment as Country General Manager in 2020.
