Matt Nelson is the Regional Director for North America within Baker Hughes’ Subsea & Surface Pressure Systems business. He is responsible for leading commercial strategy, customer engagement, and business growth across the company’s portfolio in the region. With more than 18 years of experience in the energy industry, Matthew has built a career spanning engineering, operational, and commercial leadership roles.

Having held key positions across both operators and service companies, Matthew brings a broad perspective on offshore project development and execution.  His experience includes working across complex subsea, drilling, production, and field development opportunities, with a focus on creating value through collaboration and long-term partnerships. 

Matthew holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is passionate about advancing offshore technologies, strengthening customer partnerships, and supporting the safe and efficient development of energy resources.
