Mike joined Shell as Country Manager External and Government Relations, in December 2020; when Shell took over operatorship of Suriname offshore Block 42, from Kosmos Energy. He is mainly responsible for manging key local stakeholders and implementing local Social Investment projects.

He played a key role supporting the set-up of Shell’s branch office in Suriname and continues to support Shell’s ongoing exploration work in country. Prior to joining Shell, Mike worked for several international energy companies, including Occidental, Noble Energy, Inpex Corporation and Kosmos Energy.

Mike has more than 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He also possesses a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA.
