Mohd Redhani Abdul Rahman is the Vice President of International Assets at PETRONAS, where he oversees PETRONAS Upstream's entire international portfolio, guiding strategic asset management and fostering global growth. Leading up to his appointment in 2024, he was the Vice President of Exploration from 2022.

Since joining PETRONAS as a PETRONAS scholar in 1997 with a B.Sc. in Geology (Honours) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, Redhani has applied his geoscience expertise to projects in Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak Deepwater, Pakistan, and Ethiopia. In Pakistan, he played a pivotal role in the discovery of the Mehar field and development of the Rehmat field in the early 2000s. He has successfully opened up the North Luconia Deepwater play by leading PETRONAS' largest seismic acquisition program in 2006.

As Redhani advanced in his career, he took on several senior management roles, including Head of Exploration lnternational Ventures, Head of Exploration Basin & Petroleum System, and Head of Resource Exploration within Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM). During his tenure in MPM, he successfully introduced Malaysia' s first multiclient seismic program, enhancing subsurface insights and facilitating further exploration opportunities. From 2018 to 2019, under his leadership, PETRONAS significantly expanded its international footprint, securing key exploration blocks in Mexico, Brazil, West Africa, and Egypt, resulting in multiple successful international well discoveries. He was subsequently appointed as Iraq Country Chairman, overseeing PETRONAS' producing assets in Iraq.

Appointed as Vice President of Exploration in 2022, Redhani oversaw a series of successful drilling campaigns in Malaysia, achieving an impressive 1billion barrels of oil equivalent (Bboe) in discoveries across 2022 and 2023. He played a pivotal role in reshaping Malaysia's exploration landscape by uncovering new plays and significant untapped resources through a cluster exploration approach. Additionally, Redhani has driven international success for PETRONAS, leading discoveries in Suriname and establishing it as a key hub in the company's global exploration  portfolio.

With a career spanning PETRONAS' core exploration activities and broader strategic initiatives, Redhani continues to be a driving force in shaping PETRONAS' trajectory, leading the company's global ambitions and fostering sustainable growth across diverse energy landscapes.
