Oliver Kassam
Oliver Kassam joined Guyana Shore Base Inc. (GYSBI), the largest shore base in Guyana, in May 2025 in a newly created position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
With over 25 years of industry experience, expertise in growth strategy and internationalization, he began his career in the Oil and Gas sector with KBR in 1996, initially focusing on the North Sea. He has since worked globally with extensive experience in Brazil, the Gulf of Mexico, the Middle East, West Africa, and Asia.
He spent 8 years with Subsea7 in Senior Executive roles before joining SBM Offshore in 2012. As a member of SBM Offshore's Executive Committee, he held several key positions, including President of SBM Offshore Brazil, Chief Commercial Officer, and Chairman of SBM’s Joint Venture with Sonangol, which operated two FPSOs for Exxon in Angola.
In 2018, he was appointed by the shareholders of Strohm as CEO, which became the world’s largest Thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) Manufacturer under his leadership. Notably, the company has supplied composite jumpers to projects in Guyana in recent years.
Oliver also serves as a Non-Executive Director for Enoflex Ltd, a UK-based TCP Manufacturer and PDI Engineering, a leading Engineering and Project Management company in the North Sea.
