South America Exploration President , Chevron

Patrícia Maria Bacchin Pradal is Chevron South America Exploration President since July 1st, 2025, responsible for E&P activities in Brazil, Suriname, Uruguay and Peru. Previously she held different leadership positions in Brazil and abroad, having worked in business development, commercial, operations, finance, new ventures and corporate affairs at Chevron and Unocal (acquired by Chevron in 2005).

With 26 years of experience in the industry, Patrícia leads Chevron's exploration activities offshore South America, managing the exploration portfolio in partnership with IOCs and NOCs, government officials and other interlocutors, advocating for better industry regulatory environment.

Patricia contributes to various energy industry associations in Brazil and abroad, with a long-standing participation in the Oil and Gas Sectorial Committee at the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum and Gas – IBP and FIRJAN/RJ and its previous versions since 1999. She is also a founding member of the IBP Diversity Committee; counseling member of AIEN, Head of the AMCHAM Brasil Energy Committee, and board member at AMCHAM Brasil/RJ, LIDE Rio de Janeiro, and BRATECC – Brazil Texas Chamber in Houston.

Patrícia has full bachelor’s degrees in business administration and economics from Universidade Candido Mendes-RJ, with an MBA in Oil & Gas Business from MBP-COPPE/UFRJ, in Rio de Janeiro, and post-grad certificares in Corporate Finance.
