Born in Suriname, and spent over three decades living, studying and working abroad. Raoul currently is part of the Executive Board of Directors at the Suriname Investment & Trade Agency in the role of Director of Trade. He holds a Masters’ degree in Business from ESCP (Oxford/Madrid) and started his career in management consulting.

In the past he has worked across different sectors and industries ranging from ICT, Oil & Gas, Conglomerates and Environmental NGOs. He has held roles such as Project Coordinator, Financial Analyst, Business Development Manager, Operations Director and Director for Communications and Development.
Raoul has been recipient of several scholarships and is an alumni of the Global Village of Future Leaders of Business & Industry from the Iacocca Institute (Lehigh University).
