Reza has a degree in Educational Sciences and has put his skills to use in various positions within the Suriname Port Management Company where he has serves for about 29 years now in several positions, where he started in the Operations department and was given the opportunity to set up the Safety Department, which has now grown out to be the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Department for the company that is now ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified.

He has also served in on the HR department with a focus on Human Resource Development, was Manager Public Relations and at present he’s the Manager Corporate Affairs. In this position, he represents the company in various capacities such as at present, as chair of the committee for the implementation of the initial phase of a National Port Community System.

With regard to local content, his approach is more from a company policy perspective, taking into account that he has also occasionally participated in several local content sessions and seminars.
