Ria Jharap is currently working at the USAID Eastern and Southern Caribbean Mission as Development Assistance Specialist on Climate and Energy.

She previously worked as an independent consultant on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Sustainable Development and Energy for (non)-governmental organizations in Suriname and multilateral/donor organizations. Having studied at the Technical University of Delft (the Netherlands), Ria gained tremendous experience during her career through various projects on climate change, energy and infrastructure in the context of sustainable development.
