Received  his master’s degree from the Anton de Kom University of Suriname in Education and from the University of the West Indies his master in International Relations

From 1985 until 2011 in conjunction with late dr. Ringeling he participated actively in Early Childhood Development activities in the hinterlands of Suriname, especially the upper Suriname River. From 2009 until 2012 he was part of the management team of the technical teachers school from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture.

In the private sector, he is trained in HR, ICT, Mobile Telecommunication, and Chance management and held various staff positions within various companies in Suriname. He is a certified DACUM facilitator and is (currently) the director of the Polytechnic College Suriname.
