Ruurdt Jukema is a maritime executive with 25+ years of experience in maritime management and project oversight. As Team Leader of First Meridian NV and the Maritime & Safety Training Center, he drives HSEQ training and consultancy programs, delivering ISO and STCW certifications in Suriname and Guyana.

Currently Ruurdt is directing the agency representation for DNV Business Assurance in Suriname & Guyana. In the role Master Mariner and Marine Engineer, and certified ISO Lead Auditor, with expertise in HSE compliance onshore and offshore, he is also actively contributing towards Offshore & Marine risk management, as well as technical marine systems.

Raised in Suriname and the Antilles, lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the USA, being multilingual, Ruurdt blends international experience with a commitment to sustainability, mentoring the next generation of local HSEQ professionals.
