Santiago Ferro is the Energy Transition Manager at ANCAP, overseeing the Exploration & Production (E&P), Green Hydrogen, and Bio-Energies business units. He specializes in the technical and economic evaluation of energy projects and contracts and has received training in Petroleum Policy and Resource Management from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
In his previous role as E&P Administration and Contracts Manager, he contributed to the design of the fiscal regime and managed the Uruguay Rounds. These efforts resulted in the signing of numerous E&P contracts offshore Uruguay, attracting over US$1.5 billion in exploration expenditures at risk by the private sector and generating over US$55 million in income for ANCAP. He is a member of all managing committees for the contracts currently in force on behalf of ANCAP.
