Santiago Zambrano
Santiago Zambrano Figueroa is a Petroleum Engineer with a Master’s degree in Project Management and over 29 years of international experience in the Oil & Gas industry, spanning deepwater offshore developments, drilling and completion services, project delivery, and fully integrated oilfield solutions.
He currently serves as Operations Manager – Caribbean at Halliburton, with responsibility for Suriname and Trinidad & Tobago, where he leads country establishment and operational readiness for new deepwater developments in frontier basins. His scope includes HSE leadership, service quality, performance improvement, and execution support, enabling the transition from discovery to execution in emerging offshore markets.
Santiago has played a key role in multi‑country exploration and development campaigns for major international operators including Shell and Chevron, leading fully integrated drilling and evaluation projects and introducing offshore logistics and supply chain solutions to support world‑class planning, execution, and first‑oil delivery in countries with limited prior Oil & Gas experience. His experience includes well construction and completion operations, subsea‑driven projects, shore‑base startups, and complex offshore logistics, with a strong focus on cost discipline, schedule adherence, and operational efficiency at scale.
He has previously held senior leadership roles as Latin America Regional Director, Geo‑Market Sales Manager, and Senior Project Manager, and is recognized for his strong safety culture, execution excellence, and ability to deliver complex offshore projects in new and frontier markets.
