Shailesh Badloe is an experienced finance and maritime sector professional with more than 15 years of leadership experience at the Maritime Authority of Suriname (MAS), where he currently serves as Manager Finance. He holds a background in Business Economics from the Anton de Kom University of Suriname with extensive expertise in financial management, governance, and public-sector project oversight.

Mr. Badloe has been closely involved from the first phase in the development of the business case for the Suriname river dredging project, playing a key role in the financial structuring, feasibility analysis, and cost–benefit assessment of the initiative. Throughout subsequent phases, he has been responsible for project financial management, including budgeting, financial controls, and alignment with national and international funding requirements.

In addition to his financial expertise, Mr. Badloe has completed specialized international training in port management and maritime public leadership, making him a strong contributor to discussions on sustainable maritime infrastructure, dredging projects, and public-sector investment.
