Steve is an Executive Director with S&P Global Energy, CERA Consulting based in Calgary, Alberta.  Steve has nearly 40 years of market analysis, strategy and operations experience, and specializes in consulting projects focused on crude oil and refined product studies, asset valuations and synergy analysis, refinery project feasibility and optimization studies, and market analysis and development of pricing forecasts for new production crude oils. Prior to joining the predecessor companies (Purvin & Gertz, IHS Markit) to S&P Global, Steve was employed at several refineries along the USGC, as a process engineer and later gained experience in the planning department, where Steve acquired in-depth expertise in the refinery planning and optimization, crude valuation and selection, and project feasibility development.   Steve holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, a MBA (Finance) from the University of Houston and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Alberta.
