Virgilio Porto is Vice President of Weatherford’s Well Construction Products (WCP) segment, leading the company’s global business across key well disciplines, including well completions, sand management systems, advanced wells, liner systems, reservoir surveillance, and production optimization.

With more than two decades of experience in the oilfield services industry, Virgilio has held leadership roles across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and North America, spanning product development, portfolio and technology strategy, commercial leadership, and global operations. He has a strong track record of advancing integrated solutions that combine advanced hardware with digital platforms to simplify well construction and improve field performance, with deep expertise in the deepwater domain.

Virgilio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Master’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering, and has completed the Technology & Innovation Program at MIT. He is an inventor on multiple patents related to well construction and completion technologies. His leadership philosophy centers on value creation through collaboration, reliability, and customer focus, supporting Weatherford’s delivery of smarter and more sustainable well solutions worldwide.
