NATIN started in October 1973 and has developed into a leading, development-oriented, dynamic institution that trains professionals for the technical, natural science, and laboratory sectors that are part of the Surinamese business, service, and government sectors. The trained professionals have the quality and potential to continue to play a leading role in the development of our country, and are known nationally, regionally, and internationally as such. At NATIN, we offer a safe and socially and economically adapted learning environment in which students are taught the necessary technical knowledge and skills, so that they can develop into competent professionals in, for example, the oil and gas sector, who are independent, responsible, socially skilled, and aware of the importance of a healthy living and working environment.
