Chevron participates in SEOGS 2025
Chevron will be present at the 5th edition of the Suriname Energy, Oil and Gas Conference & Exhibition (SEOGS), June 17-20, in Paramaribo. SEOGS is the most important event in the country and the Caribbean region, bringing together delegations from companies worldwide, executives, ministers and professionals from various areas to discuss investment opportunities and the development of O&G projects in the country.
The company is one of the sponsors of the event and will be represented by the Exploration Manager for Suriname, Nickolas Raterman, as a speaker on the panel on new discoveries, opportunities and challenges for the offshore sector in the country alongside representatives from the exploration area of large operators in Suriname.
Nickolas will also be a chair in the technical session “Upstream Exploration: Shallow Offshorre”. In this session, the G&G Operations Geophysicist, Gerard Czarnecki and Exploration Geologist Hernan Reijenstein will present technical projects about the exploration in shallow waters and the application of 2D seismic for shallow hazards analysis respectively.
In 2025, SEOGS will focus on the new phase of development of the offshore sector in the country, bringing topics related to energy and infrastructure, local content and suppliers.
