The Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Program Suriname is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities and skills of Surinamese women-owned businesses (WOBs). Prioritizing professional development and personal growth is an investment that consistently yields the greatest returns.

WHAT IS WEE?

The WEE Program was initiated as a pilot project during the 2023 SEOGS (Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit) when freelance business consultants collaborated on enhancing skills and capacities within Surinamese women-owned businesses (WOBs). 

Initially comprising 10 WOBs, the program evolved into a Community of Practice and a significant movement, yielding various positive impacts on Suriname's supply market and contributing to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

REQUIREMENTS

Surinamese women-owned or co-owned business Enrolled in Staatsolie's Supplier Registration Portal (SRP) Registered at the Chamber of Commerce (KKF) Minimum 1-year of establishment Paid registration Fee by deadline
